Frequently asked questions
When am I not allowed to transfer my number?
- If you switch telephony services between a fixed and a mobile network, you do not have the right to transfer the number. If the operator still offers you to transfer the number, there are no rules stating how long it may take.
- If your new operator does not accept the number.
- If the number is not registered to you, you cannot transfer it. If your subscription is part of a family subscription, it may be that the number is not registered to you, for example.
- If too much time has passed between the termination of the agreement and your request to transfer the number. See, for example, the situation in ARN 2013-10300 where a consumer did not top up their prepaid card, which resulted in the agreement being terminated according to the general terms and conditions.
