What can I receive damage compensation for?
The supplier’s liability for delay or error in installation normally covers all financial damage that you can prove you have incurred. However, a limitation applies to damages that appear so unusual, or unlikely, as consequences of the breach of contract that the supplier could not reasonably have foreseen them.
The liability for damages due to delay or error in the service also includes compensation for damage to property belonging to you or someone in your household, provided that it is intended primarily for private use.
When it comes to damage that cannot be measured in money, the possibility of obtaining compensation is very limited. Damages of a purely non-material nature such as discomfort, unease, irritation, mental suffering (“pain and suffering”), and the time you spend on a complaint case are not something you can get compensation for. However, you can of course make requests for such compensation.
