Fraudsters are calling and claiming to be from Telekområdgivarna

We have received information that fraudsters are calling and claiming to be from Telekområdgivarna. We take this very seriously and it has been reported to the police.

  • Telecom Advisors never call anyone who has not first contacted us.
  • Our help and advice are always free.
  • We sell nothing and handle no payments.
  • We never enter into agreements with anyone.
  • The number may even appear to be ours, but in that case, always ask to call back, then you will reach us.
  • If you have no case with us, we NEVER call you!

The fraudsters say they represent Telecom Advisors and that they will “help” solve telecom problems. For example, it may involve the fraudsters saying that subscriptions have been started in your name and that you can get help with this. They may try to trick you into moving money between different accounts, taking loans, or paying an invoice. It has sometimes involved hundreds of thousands of kronor. We have seen fake invoices that appear to come from Telecom Advisors and have our logo.

We want to warn against entering into agreements, paying invoices, moving money, or having any contact with these fraudsters. Never log in with BankID at someone else’s request unless you are completely sure who the other party is. Telecom Advisors never ask you to do anything with your BankID, to provide account information, or similar.

If you suspect that you have been contacted by these fraudsters, we would like you to contact us via web or phone.

We also recommend that you file a police report, and in some cases, you may need to contact your bank if you have provided information, made payments/transfers, or approved something with your BankID.

On our website About us we describe more about our operations.

If you have bank-related questions, you can also contact Konsumenternas Bank- och finansbyrå.
