Telia

Telia Sverige AB is Sweden’s largest telecom operator and offers services in mobile telephony, broadband, fixed telephony, digital TV, and business solutions. The company is headquartered in Solna and is a subsidiary of Telia Company AB. Telia uses its own network, which includes the country’s largest fiber infrastructure and a nationwide mobile network with 4G and 5G. Telia has its roots in the state-owned Televerket, which was founded in 1853 as Kongl. Elecktriska Telegraf-Werket. Televerket was corporatized in 1993 and became Telia AB. In 2002, Telia merged with Finnish Sonera to form TeliaSonera (now Telia Company). The Swedish state is still the largest owner in Telia Company with approximately 37% of the shares.
