Comviq

Comviq is a Swedish mobile operator that offers mobile subscriptions and prepaid cards with a focus on low prices and simplicity. The company uses Tele2’s network for coverage and speed. Comviq was founded in 1981 by Jan Stenbeck under the name Comvik as an alternative to the state-owned Televerket, with the goal of breaking the telecom monopoly. In 1991, the company changed its name to Comviq and in 1997 it merged with Tele2. Today, Comviq is a brand marketed by Tele2 Sverige AB and sells its services primarily online, without its own physical stores.
