Frequently asked questions
What applies if a contract term is interpreted in different ways?
If a contract term designed by the operator is unclear and you and the operator have different opinions on how the term should be interpreted, your interpretation may take precedence according to the so-called “ambiguity rule.” This means that ambiguities in a contract term are interpreted in a way that is most favorable to the party who did not draft the term, usually you as the consumer.
An unclear contract term in a standard contract, that is, a contract prepared in advance by the company and which you as a consumer have not been able to influence, should by law be interpreted in favor of the consumer.
