Frequently asked questions
How do I stop or change a direct debit payment?
To stop a payment, you can contact the payee or your bank. If you have access to the bank’s internet services, you can remove your direct debit authorization before the payment is executed.
If you are switching operators, you should contact the operator who is the payee and inform them that the authorization should be terminated. You can also contact your bank to terminate the authorization or terminate it via your online bank.
If you change banks, you must change the direct debit. Inform your new bank that you have a direct debit, and that bank will help you transfer the direct debit authorization to the new bank account.
