The Contract Terms Act

The Contract Terms Act deals with the terms that a company has towards a consumer. For example, a contract term must not mean that the company receives benefits against the consumer that create too great an imbalance between the parties. The contract terms must also not be misleading or unclear. Examples of terms considered unreasonable are terms where a written termination of the contract is required. The Consumer Agency is responsible for ensuring that companies comply with the law.
