Copper network
The copper network is an older type of communication infrastructure that uses copper cables to transmit signals. It has historically been the foundation for telephony and data communication, including ADSL (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line). The copper network consists of an extensive network of copper cables that extend from central exchanges to households and businesses.
The copper network was originally used for analog telephony (PSTN) and enabled voice communication over long distances. The copper network is being phased out and there are no new sales and rarely repairs in case of faults.
