What information should I receive when switching broadband provider?

Your current operator is, in connection with changing broadband operators, obliged to inform you in writing about:

  • When the agreement is terminated and when it ceases to apply due to the change, unless you have already terminated the agreement at an earlier time
  • Any remaining binding period, billing, and other requirements according to the agreement
  • Handling of any equipment you received from your previous operator under the agreement
  • Which service or services are terminated upon the change
  • Which services are not affected by the change
  • Any right to a refund of remaining credits/balances regarding prepaid services, and
  • Current contact details for your current operator.

Your new operator should, in connection with entering into the agreement, at least inform you about:

  • Which day the change will occur and within what time the connection of the new service will take place
  • Any equipment you are to receive from your new operator according to the agreement
  • What you need to do and, if applicable, whether you need to be present in any way during the changeover process, and
  • Current contact details for the new operator.
